Babicz FCH Z Series 4 String Bass Bridge - Black

Babicz FCH Z Series 4 String Bass Bridge - Black

SKU:FCHZ4BK

FCH 4-String Z-Series Bass Bridge

Now you can get the Babicz eCAM saddle technology in a traditional look! A drop-in fit for basses which use the Fender .75" string spacing, with a 5- hole Fender mounting pattern. Includes mounting screws, instruction sheet, and 2mm adjustment wrench. Weight 3.7 oz (105g) Babicz and AP International are proud to announce another expansion to the Full Contact Hardware line: the new Z Series Babicz 4-String Bass Bridge. This new bass bridge will supplement the popular Original Series bass bridges, providing more players the chance to use the revolutionary “eCAM” design on their instruments at a more affordable price point. Utilizing the lightweight aluminum saddle design, the bridge features a traditional bent steel bridge plate and, as with the Original Series, will be a direct replacement upgrade for Fender® Precision Bass® or Jazz Bass®-style bridges. Babicz Full Contact Hardware is designed to maximize and maintain consistent contact between the vibrating guitar string and the guitar/bass body. Most conventional guitar and bass bridges, especially after making adjustments for intonation and action, leave space between the saddle and bridge, which greatly reduces the sonic integrity of the string. With Babicz Full Contact Hardware, you can adjust your action as high or low as desired while maintaining maximum string transference to the body, for optimum tone, dynamic range, pitch stability and resonance.

Before you buy

These are raw, unfinished kits from a production factory, not flat-pack furniture. Expect to sand, fill and finish your instrument yourself, and expect the occasional scratch, dent or glue spot to deal with along the way. That is the craft, and it is why the result is worth playing.

Do a mock build before you sand or paint anything. We cannot accept returns on kits that have been part-assembled, painted or stained.

New to building? Start with an ST or TL kit, where much of the wiring is already done at the factory. We would not recommend a hollow body for a first build.

Build support

You are not on your own once the box arrives. Every kit is backed by our complete instruction manual, a quick start guide, wiring diagrams for more than fifty different kits, and step-by-step videos covering finishing, soldering, hardware, assembly and setup.
