Benson Custom Gypsy 69 ST Middle Pickup

Benson Custom Gypsy 69 ST Middle Pickup

SKU:BC-G69-Middle

These pickups have hand-bevelled AlNiCo 5 magnets, medium scatter wound with 42awg Plain Enamel (vintage purple) wire.
The scatter brings out warmth and cuts down on the 60 cycle hum that so many stock, machine wound single coils have. Lead wires are vintage "push back" wire, so no stripping is required. Built as left hand stagger and loaded with plenty of Jimi's mojo. Includes mounting screws and springs. Want to change the Covers to another colour? We usually have Cream, White, Black or Aged White (Parchment) covers in stock. Just put a note on your order indicating the colour of cover you want. FREE Shipping in Australia!

Before you buy

These are raw, unfinished kits from a production factory, not flat-pack furniture. Expect to sand, fill and finish your instrument yourself, and expect the occasional scratch, dent or glue spot to deal with along the way. That is the craft, and it is why the result is worth playing.

Do a mock build before you sand or paint anything. We cannot accept returns on kits that have been part-assembled, painted or stained.

New to building? Start with an ST or TL kit, where much of the wiring is already done at the factory. We would not recommend a hollow body for a first build.

Build support

You are not on your own once the box arrives. Every kit is backed by our complete instruction manual, a quick start guide, wiring diagrams for more than fifty different kits, and step-by-step videos covering finishing, soldering, hardware, assembly and setup.
