Ernie Ball Nickel Wound 6-string Electric Bass Strings are made from nickel plated steel wrapped around a hex shaped steel core wire. Each 6-string bass guitar string produces a bright, balanced tone and manufactured with small ball ends like guitar strings, not large ball ends used on traditional electric bass stings. Before you buy

These are raw, unfinished kits from a production factory, not flat-pack furniture. Expect to sand, fill and finish your instrument yourself, and expect the occasional scratch, dent or glue spot to deal with along the way. That is the craft, and it is why the result is worth playing.

Do a mock build before you sand or paint anything. We cannot accept returns on kits that have been part-assembled, painted or stained.

New to building? Start with an ST or TL kit, where much of the wiring is already done at the factory. We would not recommend a hollow body for a first build.
